Smith’s visit to Doug Smith

As the title may be a little random, as all mine are, basically Doug Smith, a director and editor, for music videos and Promo videos gave a talk about his life and career today at Quad in Derby, was a very interesting chap.

Worked with the likes of Roxy Music, Def Leopard and my personal favourite Iron Maiden.

WHOOO!!

but some of his earlier things had like the guitarist of the police in the background before he was famous, and lots of cool people.

I was very disappointed in my Uni class, only one person showed up, an i invited them… good they show enthusiasm isn’t it.

Anywhoooo I went and thats who I care about at this stage of my career… which is rather non-existent, but always wanting and looking for work.

Welll my blogs have slowed to a small trickle, i’m never sure what to blog about, or even if I can be bothered.

Sometimes its fun, but usually just feel like its much to mundane to both with it. what ever to do.

Going to see a talk by doug smith, a music video maker this evening, which should be interesting. Looking forward to that.

Anyway, a while back I think i blogged about making a short film for uni, that is currently in editing stages, not much has happened in the last week but gunna have to crack on with it at some point.

The here and now…

Well I think I psyched my blog up a little with the catchy title, but of course its here and now, otherwise you are one clever person, defying the laws of physics, well i applaud you, well done.

I haven’t done a post in a long time, been bogged down with work, for example today, started work at 6am, finished at 10, got to uni for 11, and edited a 30 second advert, and wrote an evaluation on it, that took until about 5, I was well knackered….

I really want to blog a little more often, just need to find the time, and something interesting to blog about….
